They won!!!!!!!!
Best Costume Design, Best Original Score, Best Director, Best Actor, and most importantly, Best Picture!
Okay, I know the Oscars are always an excuse for entertainers to indulge themselves in their own narcissism but The Artist was such a wonderful film. How could a silent black and white film connect with audiences these days? Well somehow it did! And it got the credit it deserved.
It truly is a masterpiece.
I cheered and whooped for every award it won … but my favourite part of the night came when Jean Dujardin won the Best Actor award. It’s one thing to watch actors get on stage and squeeze out those crocodile tears as they give the second best performance of their life – attempting to show gratitude in an overly emotional way – but Dujardin was simply bursting with joy. Moments of pure happiness and the need to shout it to the world are never really seen at the Oscars but he let go and showed the world how happy they’d made him.
A moment of honesty. Loved it.

I definitely need to see this movie!
I seriously couldn’t urge you more to see it. I laughed, I cried, I loved it.
